Vedanta Sesa Goa Launches IronWill4GreenerPlanet Campaign with Engaging School Awareness Sessions
In a bid to inspire the next generation of environmental leaders, Vedanta Sesa Goa has launched its month-long #IronWill4GreenerPlanet campaign, aimed at raising awareness about renewable energy, environmental sustainability, and eco-friendly practices. The campaign kicked off with interactive awareness sessions at Amona High School and Ideal High School, reaching over 270 students, helping them understand the importance of a sustainable future.
To kick off the campaign, Vedanta Sesa Goa conducted impactful awareness sessions at Amona High School and Ideal High School, Piligao, reaching over 270 students. The sessions engaged students with interactive discussions on the importance of renewable energy, the role of solar and wind power in a sustainable future, and simple, actionable ways to reduce their carbon footprint. Students showed keen interest in understanding how sustainable behaviors—such as energy conservation, waste reduction, and eco-friendly transportation—can make a big difference. These students are now poised to act as #GreenWarriors, spreading the message of sustainability in their communities.
The #IronWill4GreenerPlanet campaign is designed to align with government initiatives like Swayampurna Goa and Viksit Bharat, which focus on creating sustainable and self-reliant communities. Launched to coincide with the global observance of Earth Day, the campaign aims to culminate on World Environment Day, making it a month-long initiative that empowers the next generation with knowledge about sustainable energy and the importance of reducing environmental impact. By engaging students in schools and colleges, Vedanta Sesa Goa is helping to build a more eco-conscious society—one where renewable energy and sustainable behaviors are integrated into daily life.
