The initiative, under Project ‘Vridhhi’, demonstrates our commitment to providing digital education even to the remotest villages of Chitradurga, through setting up Computer Labs, and bridging the digital divide. In collaboration with Indira Gandhi Residential School, Kadleguddu, and Tikshna Special School for Blind, we aim to impact the lives of over 250 young students.

Through the initiative, we are transforming lives and working towards a #ViksitBharat. Together, we can build a brighter, more innovative future for our students and our nation.”

Expressing gratitude for the initiative, Shivagami, a student from Tikshna Special School for the Blind, shared her experience: “I have completed my education from Tikshna Special School for Blind, till my degree. Vedanta IOK, in collaboration with Vedanta Foundation, have provided us with computers. We are using JAWS (Job Access with Speech), NVDA (NonVisual Desktop Access) & narrator to learn how to operate computers. Instead of a mouse, we are operating the system using the keyboard. In today’s competitive world, knowledge on how to operate a computer helps in getting a job, for blind students like me. Thank you, Vedanta IOK, for the great initiative!”

Under Project ‘Vriddhi’ which is focused on Education-related initiatives, Sesa Goa has impacted over 10,000 lives in FY ’24, across states. Initiatives in Karnataka include the prestigious Vedanta Utkarsh Scholarships to students, Vedanta ‘Unnati’ initiative which is a placement lined skilling initiative, providing School Welcome Kits to students, establishing Science Labs & Mini-Science centres & remedial education centres and so on.
