A Thoughtful Addition: Vedanta IOK’s New Facility in Chitradurga

Continuing to support the civil administration through meaningful initiatives and furthering community health outcomes, Vedanta IOK has constructed a Rest House and Sanitation Block at Police Parade Ground, Chitradurga. The initiative aligns with the UN SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being.

The newly developed facility was inaugurated by Shri. Ranjith Kumar Bandaru, IPS,

Superintendent of Police, Chitradurga District, along with Shri. Shrishaila Gouda, CEO – IOK, in the presence of Dr. R. Shivakumar, KSPS, Additional Superintendent of Police, police officials, and representatives from Vedanta IOK. The Rest House and Sanitation Block provides dedicated facilities aimed at improving hygiene, comfort, and working conditions for police personnel.

Shri. Ranjith Kumar Bandaru, IPS, SP, Chitradurga District expressed his thoughts on the development and said, “The rest room and sanitation block facilities developed by Vedanta IOK have added to the overall infrastructure at the Police Parade Ground. The initiative is testament to the contribution that the industry makes towards the overall progress of society.”

Marking the occasion, Shrishaila Gouda, CEO, Vedanta IOK, said, We, at Vedanta IOK, are grateful to Chitradurga District Police for their selfless service towards the society. Through the construction of the Rest House and Sanitation Block we would like to express our support to the Police personnel and reaffirm our commitment to working collaboratively towards the holistic progress of the society. We have provided infrastructure support to other departments, schools, village panchayats, cow shelters and to Community Health Centres. Our continued collaboration with the communities reflects our shared commitment to community well-being and public service.”

Vedanta IOK has over the years contributed to community well-being and progress through its various CSR initiatives in the field of healthcare, education, women empowerment, skilling and sports. Its Project Aarogya, augments basic affordable healthcare in remote villages of Chitradurga, while Project Vriddhi nurtures the educational aspirations of students and the youth, and Project Jeevika prioritises skilling and empowerment of women, collectively promoting lasting progress within communities.
