Vedanta IOK Facilitates Infrastructure Upgrade for the Forest Department Chitradurga
Partnering the District Forest Department, Chitradurga, Vedanta IOK has facilitated infrastructure upgradation by constructing a ‘Compound Wall’ at the District Forest Office, Chitradurga.The initiative contributes to the efficient delivery of public service & aiding overall security of the premises.
The perimeter wall was inaugurated by Shri. T. Rajanna, Dy. Conservator of Forest, Chitradurga Subdivision, in the presence of P. Narayan, Head Corporate Affairs-IOK, Ravi Nayaka ER, PR Manager, J. Basavaraj Naik, in-charge Forest Liaisoning, along with other Vedanta executives.
This initiative will assist in controlling the menace of stray animals entering the premises. It is part of the broader civil developmental projects undertaken by Vedanta IOK in Chitradurga, exemplifying the company’s unwavering commitment to community development through infrastructure support and development.
Marking the occasion, Shri. T. Rajanna, Deputy Conservator of Forest, Chitradurga subdivision, expressed his gratitude, stating, “The Compound Wall construction initiative at the District Forest Office, Chitradurga by Vedanta – Iron Ore Karnataka (IOK) is a great step towards enhancing the safety and security of the office premises. I am grateful to Vedanta IOK for the generous support provided through this initiative.”
Shrishaila Gouda, CEO, Vedanta – Iron Ore Karnataka, shared his thoughts on the initiative, “At Vedanta IOK, we are happy to support the community members of Chitradurga through community infrastructure upgradation and developmental projects. Our commitment to enhancing community infrastructure is evident through the compound walls constructed in over 20 schools in Chitradurga, classroom construction in over 10 schools, dining halls constructed in five schools, over the past three years. We have also constructed sanitation blocks in eight schools surrounding the operations. Through these initiatives, we are partnering with communities for a brighter future.”
