Vedanta IOK Salutes Marks International Women’s Day
Vedanta IOK conducted a series of activities marking International Women’s Day 2025, and as a part of Vedanta Sesa Goa’s #IronLadiesIndia’25 campaign. The campaign is dedicated to saluting the ‘iron will’ of women & to empowering women as catalysts for positive change.
As a part of the events, aimed at fostering self-belief in women, self-defense training sessions were organised for over 250 young girls across schools in Manangi, Hireguntanuru & Bheemasamudra. Sessions were led by Vedanta IOK employees as well as other experts in the field. Also, aimed at providing women an opportunity to showcase their skills and to present them with avenues for augmenting household income, an exhibition of apparels designed and crafted by trainees of the Vedanta Tailoring Training Centre was held at the Swamy Vivekananda P.U. College, Hireguntanuru, wherein over 120 women community members participated.Ms. Pavithra Mallikarjun, Panchayat member, Hireguntanuru graced the occasion and motivated the women.

As a part of the #IronLadiesIndia’25 campaign, over 250 young girls were empowered with self-defence training by skilled defence professionals, and around 120 women beneficiaries of the Vedanta Tailoring Training Centres (VTTCs) were felicitated. We are proud to empower the women of Chitradurga for financial independence through skill-based training, through our various women-centric initiatives.”
