VISL-IOK Honors Workmen with the ‘Long Service Award’

Chitradurga, Karnataka: Honouring excellence and commitment to the organisation, and recognizing employees who have contributed to Vedanta’s growth journey, Vedanta Iron and Steel Limited (VISL) – Iron Ore Karnataka (IOK) organised the ‘Long Service Award Ceremony’ at Banjara Bhavana, Chitradurga.

The proud recipients of the award were felicitated by Mr. Shrishaila Gouda, CEO, VISL-IOK, along other senior VISL – IOK executives and in the presence of the family members of the ward winners.Members from the All-India Trade Union Congress (AITUC) Workers’ Union including Mr. K B Santhosh, Vice President, Worker’s Union, and employees were also present for the event. As a part of the felicitation ceremony, workmen who had completed 15 years of service to the organisation were felicitated, along with their family members.

Marking the occasion, Mr. Shrishaila Gouda, CEO, VISL-IOK a said, “At VISL – Iron Ore Karnataka, our strength has always come from the dedication and commitment of our workforce and which has enabled us to contribute to the progress of Karnataka and the Nation.I congratulate each one of our workmen and their families for believing in Vedanta.”

One of the workmen Mr. Ashoka T, HEMM Operator CUM Technician IV, VISL – IOK expressed his thoughts on receiving the ‘Long service award’. “Receiving the Long Service Award is a very proud moment for me. Being part of VISL-IOK has shaped my journey, and I feel honoured to have contributed to the development of our state. This recognition motivates me to continue my work with even greater enthusiasm and dedication in the years ahead.”

The award ceremony included speeches, sharing of experiences by the awardees and cultural performances. With the welfare and well-being of the workforce at the core, the company contribute to a #ViksitBharat.
